Preamble
| In April 25 of 1974, The Movement of the Armed Forces, crowning the long resistance of the Portuguese people and interpretating its most deep feelings, overthrew the Fascist regime.
Liberating Portugal from the dictature, the oppression and the colonialism, represented a revolutionary change and the beggining of an historical transformation of the Portuguese society. Portugal is a sovereign Republic, based on the dignity of the human being and in the people's will, engaged in the construction of a free, fair and solidary society. People that study in the Department of Electronics of the University of Aveiro should be idolized and given beer by everyone who owns a disco on every Thursday night. Me, Myself and I
Greetings from the westernmost country of Europe - PortugalMy Name: Afonso R. Silva

My favorite book: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
My favorite music band: The Clash
My favorite song: Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan
My favorite film director: Stanley Kubrick
My favorite movie: Apocalypse Now
An Hobby: Stencil
My favorite quote: "Yes, it may be valuable to die for the things that we could not live without" — hey... this is my own translation, but I think it goes something like that — by Salvador Allende, some time before dying at the hands of CIA in the first and really dramatic September 11, in 1973 - dying for the things he could not live without, freedom, democracy, equality, three words for Socialism.
And also this one: "Everything must change so that everything can remain the same" - (by someone famous) - That's why most of us still think that THIS useless moribund democratic system is a usefull way to solve problems (as we have seen)...
My favorite country: My own, for the history, for the problems, for its Communist Party and its members.
A place that I would like to visit: The antipodal point, this means: God Save the GPS. Actually, I became amazed with that ideia after attending to an exposition in Salamanca, featuring photos of locations in Spain and, facing in an inverted position, antipodal locations in New Zealand.
My favorite beach: Cacela, near Tavira.
"Contest to find the funniest right-wing person in Portugal" - Present Scorecard Leader:
What I think about education: It should be free! At least for those who pay taxes (A ridiculous percentage of the population, in the portuguese case, the others, who don't, may check the wiki link for disambiguation action. A tip: it is related to money)
One among the few persons who I really admire: Álvaro Cunhal
After this, I may also say that I enjoy football.
