Three Point Contest
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The Three Point Contest is a National Basketball Association All-Star Game competition held on the Saturday before them game. Competitors try to see how many three point baskets they can make in a minute. There are five ball racks laid out over the three point line, two in each corner, two on the wings, and one that is from the center. Each rack has six balls, five of which are worth one point and one is worth two points. The two point ball is the final ball on the rack.
Each competitor, in the first round, goes once to see what their score is. There are usually six competitors. The three with the top three scores advance to the finals.
Larry Bird and Craig Hodges have both won three times.
