Bishops and Archbishops of Glasgow
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The See of Glasgow was founded between 540 and 560 by St Mungo, the patron saint of Glasgow. There were bishops in the area prior to the diocese being formally founded and based in Glasgow by charter of David I in 1120,but it is not known what they were called. Glasgow was made an Archdiocese in 1492.
