It all started at 4:02 left in regulation. They were trailing, 75-60, at the TV Timeout break. The key play was Deron Williams game-tying 3-point shot. Also, Jack Ingram deflected an inbounds pass. The crowd was at its feet. This is Rosemont Arena's all-time best event. Arizona had a chance to seal it at the regulation buzzer, but Hassan Adams missed, and the game went to OT, 75-75.
In OT, the Illini dominated early and often. But Arizona had one more last shot, and missed-- at the buzzer.
The Illini survived, by the final score of 90-89, Illini, in single overtime. Also, MSU won in 2 OT to win.
This was one of the best rallies in college basketball.
Bucknell over Kansas was the best upset in the 2005 NCAA Tourney. Many people thought Illini were going to lose.
